The Rise of the Shadow Agent: Why Employers Can No Longer Ignore Benefits Guidance

Public Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT are incredible tools, but they are dangerous benefits counselors. When an employee asks a public AI for advice, three critical things go wrong:

This means they have explicit controls for data privacy (SOC 2/HITRUST), bias testing, and algorithmic accountability.
